Driveway Garden, JUL 2002

The driveway garden has the following plants:

  • Yarrow (Achillea Apricot, Huffnung, JungFrau, Martina)
  • Wormwood (Artemesia Ponticum)
  • Butterfly Weed (Asclepias Tuberosa)
  • White Coneflower (Echinacea Purpurea White Swan)
  • Stonecrop (Sedum Kamtschaticum 'Variegatum')
  • Stonecrop (Sedum Spectabile 'Neon')
  • Juniper shrub (a hold-over from the previous plantings; it looked good among the wormwood)

The following pictures show the garden on July 4, 2002.

The right side of the garden. I used stonecrop to fill up some extra space.

More sedum

I love Stonecrop for its nice mounding and effortless care. These should give me some color in late fall.

The survivor!

This little shrub is the last survivor of the ten that originally occupied this strip. I surrounded it with Wormwood for company and it's thriving now. Smells nice, too.

Yarrow, what a surprise!

Yarrow and White Swan Coneflowers. These yarrow are creamy yellow, almost white.

More yarrow

More yarrow!

Even more Yarrow (traditional yellow this time) and Coneflowers.
