The garden is just starting to green up a little. The compost I laid down last October did a nice job and early growth is encouraging. A bigger surprise is the return of a few plants I had given up for dead.

The garden, in all its glory.

The garden is just shaking off the winter. Watching the daily growth is a good reminder why I planted it in the first place. Click here to see the garden in full bloom (July, 2002).

Sedum!

The stonecrop provides the lushest green in the garden.

Euonymous

The euonymus needed a little pruning, but it's survived the winter nicely.

Cranesbill

The cranesbill (geraniums) came back strong and are spreading througout the garden. I thought they died off last autumn.

Peony!

The Japanese Peonies survived! They were dried up twigs last year, but this year they are growing aggressively.

Clematis vine (three inches tall)

A twelve foot clematis vine. Someday.

Laughing Buddha

Laughing Buddha graces this garden.
